A bright light shined down upon the busy town, warmth enveloping the whole area. All around, people were chattering away and walking around; their heels slapping the ground with heavy thuds. Just living a normal life. Somewhere off in the distance, a horn....no, a bell, began to ring loudly, signaling the start of a new hour. The sound echoed around through the air.. It rang once, twice, three times. Three times. Three o'clock.
A hand clenched and unclenched, the first sign of movement from the previously lifeless body as the sound waves produced by the bell struck his eardrums, forcing him out of sleep. No. He didn't want to get up.... He continued to lay there for the longest time, trying so desperately to go back to bed, to re-enter the blissfull peace. Just on the verge of falling back into deep sleep when the bell was struck again, ringing four times, with each ring being seemingly louder than the next. A groan escaped his lips as he opened his eyes, light flooding his pupils. His whole body ached, as if he had just been beaten multiple times with a baseball bat. And the fact that he was sprawled out on hard concrete wasn't helping with the pain. After doing a few stretches to help relieve the pain, he got up, wiping the dirt and dust off of his black trenchcoat. Where was he? Did he live here? He looked around, taking mental pictures of the place as he tried connect the dots; to understand what was happening to him. The large, stucco buildings that sorrounded him. The large clocktower looming in the distance. He'd never seen any of this. And, more importantly, who was he? For some odd reason, he couldn't even remember what his name was. L...something. No, it started with an A, right? Axe? Axis? Yeah. That was it. Right?
He sighed, shaking his head. This was such a sick joke. Hopefully, though, he really did live here, and would bump into someone who he knew, he could clear all of this up. With that in mind, he began to wander around the town, searching for someone who looked even remotely familiar.

This place...
It was familiar, somehow, but she couldn't quite tell how, or why. She'd been here before, she knew it. Vague fragments of memory remained in her mind - memories of this sunset, and the taste of something sweet, yet rather salty. Also laughter... yes, laughter too. It was almost relieving... and painful, too, for some reason. And, yet again, she couldn't tell why.
A few weeks ago, she had awakened in a large, white castle, with little to no idea of who she was. It was all still pretty confusing, but at least she knew a few things... she knew her name was Xion, and she'd been dead once. She had vague memories of working for a group called Organization XIII... she barely remembered the two people she'd once called best friends... it was something, right? She still didn't know what had led her to death once, or why, but she wasn't entirely sure if she wanted to know or not. The sole thought... it seemed almost dully scary.
So, Xion wandered Twilight Town alone, with her face covered by the black hood. Blue eyes searched the streets eagerly, looking for familiar faces, anything that could help her remember. It was tough. Ever since she woke up, revived, or... whatever... she had found everything to be so bright, and fast and violent. Everything she saw and heard was almost painful to her senses... she figured, she was just a bit out of shape after being dead for so long.
Xion was caught up in her trail of thought, until she nearly ran into a tall... person, someone who was wearing the same cloak as her. She backed away lightly, almost as though she was scared. From the little things she remembered about the people with the cloaks... Organization XIII weren't exactly good people. So, she kept her distance, shyly peering up to see the person's face better...
"..."
There was something familiar, there... but what...?

The blonde boy stumbled a bit as he walked, just looking ahead with those blank eyes. There was really nothing that anyone could say to him, it was like there was little left. Just seeing that girl and talking to her he had changed so much in that time period to this one. Roxas or Sora or Number Thirteen what was he supposed to call himself, really Thirteen was one of those unlucky numbers. Blurred and confused memories went through his mind and he didn't know what to do about them. It was like no matter how much he tried to get them to stop they kept coming back. Stopping and leaning against the wall he put his hand on his forehead and groaned a bit, the images were flashing past his eyes.
Fighting with some girl with black hair...then running into this red haired boy. They were friends weren't they...that's why they seemed so familiar. Or was it something else none of this made any sense. All he wanted to do was make it stop and have this go away. The headaches weren't needed he barely could make sense of anything else because of them. The fact that the day couldn't get any worse he just started to walk again. That is till he saw that exact black haired girl and what looked like the red haired one.
Why the heck were they were, it was just fragments of memories that his brain created right. With him coming back so did those memories and they were just popping out of his head right now. To torture him more, or maybe scare him away but he didn't know what to think. So he did the not smart, maybe even partially like Sora thing. "...My memories are coming out of my head...seriously! today can't get any worse...." Just huffing a bit and trying to ignore the headache that was coming on, he was half tempted to touch them see if they were real. And not just something in his brain.
Why was he even in Twilight Town it was something about eating ice cream with his friends. Nothing more then that but the friends he couldn't remember them. That was just simple as that and he didn't know what else to do about it. Stopping and watching them not sure if he should approach. The closer he got to them the more he shivered a bit, there was something about them. About both of them and he didn't like it, why did he feel like yet again he was being kept in the dark.
They couldn't be those people in the memories his brain created. They probably weren't real and that meant this people couldn't be either so why was he wondering.

He sitauted himself in front of a street post, staring up at the signs that was attached. There was two of them, one labeled 'sand lot' and the other labeled 'tram common', both pointing in a different way. Neither of those places sounded familiar, or even remotely interesting. After a few minutes of standing around, he decided to check out the sand lot, curious as to whether this place, this lot, was really made of sand.
The red haired man entered the sand lot, noticing the wooden stage that was currently being built in the center of the area and the multiple poster that was stuck to the wall. He walked up to one of them, peering at it closely. The words 'let's struggle' was written on it in colorful, bold letters. Shrugging, he turned around, only to bump into someone.
"Hey! Watch it, kid." He snorted, folding his bony arms across his chest as he peered down at her. Interestingly enough, she was dressed up in the same outfit that he was wearing, except that she had her hood up, so he could barely see her face. He raised an eyebrow, smoothing the ruffles out of his own jacket before pointing at hers. "Is this some sort of trend around here? Kind of creepy-looking, if you ask me." Nonetheless, that didn't stop him from thinking that he looked devilishly handsome in it.
He was just about to ask her what her name was, when he sensed another presense. "Can I help you?" He spoke in a sarcastic tone as he turned toward the blonde-haired boy. And then...something struck him.
"Don't I know you?" With eyebrows furrowed, he continued to stare at the boy, thinking hard. "Yeah! Yeah, I do. You're....ummm...Roxas?"

If Xion could have chosen a word to describe this situation, she'd probably choose "odd". That was the only way she could really describe it.
One did not simply return from the dead. She couldn't help but wonder why she was back here, alive. Was there something she needed to do, before going back to eternal... rest... or whatever Nobodies got after they died? Or, was she being punished for something she'd done? ... The thought in itself was rather unnerving, but she had plenty of time to think about that. She simply wandered about the sandlot, aimlessly, for a few moments.
"..."
She didn't really answer to the tall guy who she'd almost bumped into, because she was busy trying to remember who he was. She had to know him from somewhere. She just... had to. Xion bit her lips uncertainly, struggling to recall him. There was something so special trying to make its way back into her mind, that she couldn't just entirely grasp.
Suddenly, he addressed someone behind her. She took half a glance toward the person - a blonde, blue eyed boy. He... he was familiar, too, she thought, biting her lips even harder. She knew his face, as much as she knew the redhead's face. They were familiar, and comforting, and the memories she had of laughter and ice cream just became clearer.
Yes. These two, were her best friends. But, a name... they had to have names...
It wasn't until she heard the name 'Roxas' that she fully reacted. She turned her head lightly toward the blonde, and it was as if two pieces of a puzzle clicked together into place. Yes, that was him. But, she didn't know how to react. Should she... run, and hug him? No...
She turned to the other one, and stared up at him shyly, forcing her mind to recall, until she found the name that she knew belonged to him, and mumbled:
"... Axel?..."
This... this had to be too good to be true.

Roxas shook his head trying to get the memories to go away. This was not going to help him and he really hated it, this was another moment where he thought he was someone else. No Roxas was Roxas and would never end up being anyone else. There was that sense of major Deja Vu again, almost like he had said that before. Turning his attention from the girl in the cloak then to the male he just blinked, there was something about them. And yet he didn't know what to think part of him felt tired and his head hurt again. Roxas put his hand on his forehead and groaned a bit, looking at them through tired and slightly blurry eyes. "Come on Axel don't you remember your friend." Part of him looked confused by the words that passed his lips, and the teasing tone to them.
No it wasn't angry he was just messing around, cause somewhere the boy must have known he would know him. That girl she was one of them, but he was dressed like he usually was in this town, the black cloak he probably lost it somewhere. All he remembered was waking up with it and that was that, so who knew where it was. 'This is awkward...but these people I've seen them so many times...it can't just be my imagination messing with me.' He at least hoped it wasn't stumbling a little bit and looking at them again.
The boy was still confused by Xion that black haired girl there was truly something about her. And yet for the most part he didn't get it was he supposed to anyway. The boy shook it off and just looked at them biting his lip. "So we know each other...then you know about me? It's been awhile..." His words sounded tired, broken and slightly confused. Totally different from the normal Roxas that had surfaced for a second. What was he supposed to do though.
The memories of when he left started to flow back, then joining with someone but the face was blurry. Guilt was not something he usually felt...or at least he thought he didn't. Why did that pain have to be there, he wasn't normal was he. It could explain all the missing memories and times he randomly passed out which was never really good.
"You know something don't you!" Not about to let it go he might be slightly forceful about it.
(so not tempted to have it that his memories somehow got messed up when he left or separated from Sora >> has him pass out lol.)
