Well, this sucked.
Ciela had woken up in a fairly good mood that had stayed throughout a whole day - which was rare. The fourteen year-old was usually easily upset or pissed off. But today had been the exception. She had done a lot of housework and she'd done it with a smile on her face, she'd finished her summer homework, and she'd even gone shopping for food. Her mother had headed to work early and was likely to return the following day; so she had wanted to surprise her with a nice, clean house and finished chores. It had gone rather well...
... until it started raining.
It was already growing late, and Ciela had gone for a walk at the beach. It was cut short when the waves started growing wild and the wind started to blow rather harshly. Rain had been the first thing that crossed her mind. So, she'd started her way home. The rain caught her shortly afterwards. It wouldn't have been a problem if she hadn't left some clothes to dry in the sun.
So, now she was running all the way back to the tiny, pink bricked house, while swearing inwardly and scolding herself for having forgotten. Well, darn. She was gonna have to wash her clothes all over again...
All of a sudden, the sight of a Heartless snapped her from her mundane thoughts and she stared at the creature, which wandered aimlessly, like a lost puppy. She couldn't help but wonder what it was looking for. At least, until the creature eyed her.
"Oh, dammit,"she muttered, as the creature lunged toward her. Light enveloped her hand and the damn Key appeared; wrapped tightly by her hand. Ciela sighed in annoyance, and lunged forward to attack the creature. It backed away lightly; but dashed forward again, jumping on her head. Ciela shrieked in a shrill voice and flailed violently and in doing so, lost her footing. She slipped backward, and hit her back. Ow.
Well, this sucked even more.

This world. What was this world? Asher could only wonder, as he roamed the seemingly peaceful place. Fingers reached up to brush through his bangs, fixing them over his eyes as he roamed the public. Everyone seemed less judgmental that way. Nobody could see him for what he was. Nobody knew. It was the best part of being on a foreign world, with one's eyes covered.
This was a nice world.
Even when it began to rain, he continued to wander about. Nothing would hurt from a little rain. It wasn't like he would get hurt from it. It gave him plenty of time to think, anyway. People would stop pestering the stranger, and he would continue on with what he was doing. Though, what he was doing wasn't much, it was still something to enjoy alone, as well. Who wanted all those strangers crowding around to 'befriend the new guy', anyway?
It wasn't like Asher could really care.
Until he saw a girl get jumped on by a heartless. Something about seeing it, the nobody couldn't just walk away from. Instead, he found himself hurrying behind her, and easily brushing the black creature away with the back of his hand -- likely only from surprise of someone coming to the 'rescue.'
A hand reached out, to help the stranger up, as Asher flashed a playful grin, though keeping his eyes on the little creature. "You okay, there?"

Maybe what annoyed her most about this whole Heartless business - aside the fact that she wasn't used to it yet - was that she had never wanted it in the first place. She had found herself surrounded by them just once, and by either chance or fate, the Keyblade had come to her aid. It had been entirely unexpected, and ever since then, the scarce ocassions in which the tiny black thingies showed up, they went after her. She hated it deeply, but it wasn't like there was anything she could do about it.
It... was awful.
A pained scream died in her throat as she hit the ground; and all she could really do was draw in a deep breath and hold it back. It didn't lessen the pain, and it didn't make it any better, but screaming wouldn't have helped, either. Sure, screaming might have drawn attention from someone who could help her, but she didn't want any help. If there was something Ciela hated about herself, but couldn't improve, was her pride. She was too proud, and she knew it. Lots of people had pointed it out to the tiny fourteen year-old, but she had ignored it. It was still annoying, nevertheless. Pride had ended with the one close relationship she knew.
Pride had killed most of the love she had for her best friend.
It almost began to hurt again - that regret that refused to fade espite it had already been five months, now, when suddenly a voice snapped her from her thoughts. A stranger was holding his hand out to her, and - though she hadn't noticed - had driven the Heartless away from her. The tiny creature was now stumbling about, possibly to confused to continue fighting for now. She fixed her left eye - the one that wasn't blinded and concealed - on the stranger and took a hold of his hand.
"U-Uhm... yeah, I'm okay," she answered, as she got to her feet clumsily. "Thank you,"she added, with a nervous blush. Darn. This was so embarrassing. If only she knew how to better use her Keyblade!
The voice she'd had back then, during that dream in which she first saw her weapon, hadn't been much help after all.

"Oh! Good!" the nobody's grin grew slightly, with a tilt of the head, spreading blonde hair further across his face. It was quickly fixed with a flick of his neck, and up-righting his body entirely. "They're annoying little bugs, aren't they?" Asher chimed, taking the hand that had not been used to help the girl up, and placing it behind his back, almost as if he intended to scratch it.
In a small black mist, one of his sickles formed, and was lifted in a fashion almost to imply that it had been on his body. He could pretend at least, right? Who wanted to explain that? It was always easier to simply respond with, 'oh. You didn't see that there?' and be on one's way.
An adjustment of the arm, tiny twitch of the wrist, and a flick was all that remained. The item jerked from the male's hand, weight first, moved toward the bumbling black creature. It seemed almost a useless toss at first, as the weight raced past the Heartless' face, but no sooner had the creature turned to watch the weight, than the blade of the sickle sliced into it, dispersing the nuisance in a puff of smoke.
"So," the blonde noted, with an almost thoughtful hint to his voice, "not used to dealing with the Heartless, I assume?" Maybe, it was a bad question. But, Asher hadn't even spotted a Heartless in the world until that one. It interested him that it took until that point to even assume they were here. Of course, all of the worlds were likely infected; he should have known.

Blinking blearily under the rain, Ciela could only wonder where this stranger had come from. She didn't remember seeing him around in the Island; so all she could assume was that he was from another world.
...Not that Destiny Islands was a popular destination for people from other worlds. The place wasn't that interesting.
"...Yeah," she answered, meekly, rubbing the back of her head lightly. It hurt a bit, but that would hopefully pass soon. She watched as the stranger tossed a sickle at the Heartless, which promptly vanished in a puff of black mist and smoke. "Um, wow,"she muttered under her breath. She had never seen a Heartless die before - except in that dream, and even that she didn't remember clearly. Normally, whenever one came after her, she ended up running away. A part of her did it because those things were annoying. The other part...
... she guessed she didn't want anyone to find out she held a Keyblade.
"They are pretty scarce here. So, yeah," she answered, with a light shrug of her slim shoulders. "May I ask where are you from? We don't have weapons like your in here,"she said, taking half a glance at the sickle.
It wasn't like Destiny Islands sold weapons, after all. They weren't needed.

Examining the girl from the corner of his eyes, Asher took note of the way that she held herself. She seemed almost confused, in his opinion. Though, it was easily misinterpreted. He had to bear in mind that it was not so easy to actually understand the emotions of people, when he lacked them himself. More than likely, she was only thinking about something that he couldn't comprehend. It was best not to dwell on it. Emotions were dumb.
"I figured they were," the nobody shrugged, "I've been wandering around all day, and that was the first one to pop up." Aside from that one, the world seemed fairly safe. It was a nice thing to think that it was. It would have been a shame to see it devoured by the swarm of dark creatures. Nobody on this world even seemed to deserve such a fate. Especially because Asher wasn't really sure what happened to people when their worlds were lost.
The grin broke when a question was posed to him. Instead, mouth was parted slightly, almost as if debating an answer, or if he should respond with a question. Most people on the world were fed lies from him. There was no point in telling them the truth. He'd either tell them that it was someplace far away, or respond with the world he'd found himself in after the accident. But, neither seemed proper to tell the girl. The question was to tell the truth, or to lie? The world itself seemed to small to tell her that he lived on it. What would have been the best choice?
"That's a good question," truth had won, it seemed. "I actually don't remember what it's called," he shrugged, in a hardly-noticeable fashion. How else could he respond? "Chances are, the world's gone, anyway, so it's probably for the best," somehow, his voice was cheery when he said it. Who would find it a cheerful sentence?
Then again, he didn't actually remember if his weapon even came from his world. It was just... there when he woke up. It was useful, all the same, though. If he didn't have anything to fight with, he'd have been in a good amount of trouble.
"It's a pretty basic weapon, I think," the nobody murmured, fighting the urge to simply summon it back to his hand, rather than having to walk over to fetch it. Neither happened, however, and it just continued to lie on the ground. "Does this world even have weapons?"

It was an almost rare thing, to run into someone from a distant world here, of all places. Destiny Islands was so tiny that she was almost completely sure the only ones who knew of the world's existence were people who actually lived there. She doubted anyone would care for a world so small. Oh, well. She did. She loved her home, but it was so tiny...
... She couldn't wait to be old enough to travel by herself.
"... Good thing. A whole swarm of them would be just annoying,"she answered, tugging softly at a lock of her hair in thought. A swarm of Heartless would be too hard to control, especially because no one in the Islands was used to them. Granted, one or two Heartless would show up every now and then, but that wasn't enough. Plus, getting rid of the tiny creatures wasn't as easy as it seemed - it took several blows to kill a single one. Kicking them and running away was also a good strategy, but it didn't always work.
She watched in light curiosity as the stranger seemed to hesitate before answering. When the answer came, the curious expression faded to leave a slightly embarrassed one. "...Oh. O-Oh, that's kinda sad... I'm sorry to hear that,"she mumbled, as she let her gaze fall to the wet ground. She couldn't help but feel a little bit nosy. Still, the perspective of losing one's home, and even forgetting what it was called... well, she figured she wouldn't be able to stand it. Still, he seemed rather cheerful. Maybe the world wasn't too nice.
" I think the closest thing to a weapon here is a baseball bat, or a toy sword,"she commented; with a nervous chuckle. She eyed the sickle lying on the ground and, in almost reluctant curiosity, walked up to it and picked it up, staring at it curiously. She turned it around in her hands for a few seconds before walking up to the guy and handing over the weapon.
"Thanks for the help, by the way. May I ask your name?"

The girl seemed almost upset. Was she upset with the answer that he had provided her? Maybe, he should have lied. What had been said was too late to remove, however. So, instead, he leaned toward the girl, with a faint smile on his lips, lowering to have his head at the same level as her's. God, she was short. "No need to be sorry!" he murmured, smile reflecting in his voice. "It just means I'm free to wander other worlds without worrying about my own. I mean, if I assume it's gone, I don't have to feel bad that I don't send postcards!" Bad joke, he knew. But, how else did one explain that?
"Really?" the nobody raised an eyebrow. "Those are really lame weapons," he teased, as he watched the girl toy with his sickle. It almost made him a little uneasy, watching a stranger handle it. But, she seemed harmless enough. It couldn't hurt too much, right? Plus, if she tried to hack him to bits, he could just send it back to its hiding place, in the darkness, right? But, instead, she handed it back to him. "You guys need to invest in something more useful than toy swords and bats. They don't really do much against Heartless, hate to say," then again, not much did. Except one thing, but Asher wasn't even sure if they were real at this point.
Reaching out, he gently removed the weapon from the girl's hand, as she offered it back. What was he going to do with it now? He didn't actually have a place to hold the stupid things. "Oh! I forgot about names!" the teen let out a small laugh, holding loosely onto the weight attached to the sickle, while the rest of the weapon hung from his hand. God, he was bad at this socializing thing. Still needed to work out the kinks, it seemed. "I'm Asher! And, you are...?"

Looking around her home world, Ciela could only wonder what kept the world so safe. The Heartless rarely showed up... and, it was almost strange. Maybe it was the peace of the world, the completely calm atmosphere... or something. She couldn't find much of a better explanation.
"I know, it just sounds kinda... well, sad." Indeed. She couldn't help but feel sorry for the people who might have been lost; if the world had truly vanished. She snickered a bit at the postcard comment, though. "Even better yet, you don't have to worry about souvenirs, which are more expensive,"she joked back, with a rather cheerful smile on her face. It was an almost natural reaction; and it surprised her. She shouldn't be so comfortable around strangers.
"We really should. Not that it would help, though. The Heartless aren't exactly easy to defeat." She said it rather calmly, and realized it was probably a mistake. After all, she wasn't supposed to know that. Ciela probably held more experience with the Heartless than most people of her world, thanks to the Keyblade, but... she just didn't want anyone to know that. She'd never wanted a Keyblade, after all.
Hearing him speak his name made Ciela feel a bit more comfortable. "My name's Ciela. It's nice to meet you, Asher,"she answered, bowing lightly. In doing so, she realized... "...Wow, you're rather... tall."

Maybe, that was why the world was so at ease, though. A world without weapons. Defenseless. Nothing would touch it because it held no importance. It couldn't fend for itself. Attacking it just wouldn't be fair. Maybe, the Heartless were giving it a chance to improve it's defenses. Though, when were Heartless fair creatures?
Asher didn't think much of the girl's comment on Heartless being hard to destroy. "It depends on the kind," he added, with a shrug. He had taken care of the solo creature with ease, as was often the case when the moved alone. Especially with the weaker kinds. "They just get reborn, though. It's all so pointless," the nobody fixed his wet bangs, looking to the ground as he did so. Eyes instinctively closed as the hair was softly pulled away from his skin. Especially so, since the girl was shorter than he was. He didn't want her to see underneath his bangs, after all.
The next thing to come from the girl's mouth, after her name, caught the teen off-guard. He was... tall? That made a small snicker escape his lips, as his bangs fell back over his eyes. "Me? Tall?" he chuckled, softly. It felt almost warm. Almost. Then again, to say it felt like anything was a stretch. "You're just tiny. You know," he paused, with a toying smile, "like a mouse, or something."
Head lifted up, to feel the rain hit the exposed portions of his face. The storm didn't seem like it was going to lighten up any time soon. "I hate to put you in a spot, but can we move this conversation to someplace dry?" it hadn't really hit him earlier that this was the only pair of clothes he had on him at the moment. The nobody rarely even thought of that. He always just bought new clothes from the world he was on, and washed what he needed, before tossing the weird garbs other places seemed to adore.
Stupid travelling inconveniences.

Talking about Heartless made Ciela feel rather uncomfortable. Almost as though she felt bad for not fighting them, when they showed up. But that wasn't something she wanted to do. All Ciela wanted was to have a good, normal life. Being a Keyblader just destroyed her plans. She already debated over her desire for normalcy and her wish to travel... where did the Keyblade fit there?
She rose her eyebrows lightly; in confusion."...They're reborn? ... That makes sense,"she mumbled, thoughtfully. It explained why the Heartless continued to show up; even after being cut up or hit a thousand times. Nothing seemed to affect them. She had beat a group once, but that had most likely been a dream - a mere hallucination caused by a head injury, or something. Then again, she had gotten her Keyblade shortly after that dream. Maybe she was just assuming things...
... Maybes were anoying.
Ciela's expression changed to a mix of half-angry and ashamed, upon the 'tiny' comment. "Hey, I'm not short! And I'm not a mouse!" she answered, blushing madly and looking down at her feet. Really. She couldn't be that short! Right? She might not tower over her friends, or anything, but that didn't make her a shorty, right?
Yes, it did.
Oh well...
The suggestion of moving to a dry place made Ciela hesitate. "Sure, but...she couldn't think of place. The only place that came to mind was home, and that was just because of the damned dry -now probably just drippy - clothes.
"I can't think of a good place...
Worst. Fail. Ever.

Asher watched the girl rather dully. She didn't know much about the entire situation, did she? It made the nobody feel like a know-it-all. Not necessarily the best feeling. That almost made him laugh, actually. Feeling. Then again, if he did laugh, he'd only look like an idiot, since there was no outer reason to laugh.
"Yeah, they're reborn," the nobody raised an eyebrow, "do you not know very much about them?" Asher had always thought that it was common knowledge. Maybe, more sheltered worlds didn't know much about them. Or, maybe, this girl was just an idiot. Possibilities, possibilities. "There's supposedly one kind weapon that can actually kill Heartless, but I've never actually seen one of them," he shrugged, "personally, I think the weapon's just a myth to try to give humans hope." That was more than likely true. Who the hell owned a thing called a keyblade, anyway?
A hand lowered to pat the girl on the head, a grin cracking his lips apart. I'd say you're quite the mouse!" he teased, softly. Pink in the face. What did that mean, again? He recalled multiple emotions quickly, filtering out the ones that seemed unlikely. She wasn't yelling, so it didn't mean she was mad. Embarrassed, perhaps? That was the best call an emotionless being could make.
The grin hardly faltered, as he lowered his face to be at level with the tiny girl's. "You live in this town, little mouse. How do you have no idea of a place to dry off?" Logical question, indeed.

Inwardly, Ciela could only curse at her own ignorance. Hell, wasn't she supposed to be involved in the whole Heartless thing? She should know a little bit more about them! Then again, it wasn't like she knew anyone that she could go to, for information. It would be odd, and suspiscious, fore her to suddenly go asking people if they knew anything about the Heartless. Chances were, no one knew wnough about them. Plus... she didn't really want to be involved.
A slight frown appeared, when Asher asked her if she didn't know. "I've only faced Heartless about... three times in my entire life, and the encounters were all too recent... of course my knowledge about them is sketchy!"she answered, with a mildly irritated tone. It only made sense, after all... didn't it? Destiny Islands was obviously, mostly untouched by the Heartless.
Eyebrows rose when she heard something about a weapon that could supposedly get rid of the tiny black creatures, though. "Really? What are they?"she asked, already knowing the answer... maybe. The look on her face was almost anxious. God, she didn't wanna hear the answer...
Suddenly, a hand was brought down lightly upon her head, gently. And, all she could do was blush. Harder, if possible. Whyyyy? was her only thought, at the action. "No, I'm not!"she protested, lightly, voice shaking with shyness. Really. She couldn't be that tiny. Right?
... Well, yes, she could. It was a genetic thing, apparently.
"I mean around this general area... cuz this is mainly a street,"she noted. "There's a café nearby, though... we could head there."

Asher eyed the girl through his hair, shifting slightly. "Three times? Seriously?" he wasn't sure if that was much of a truth. After all, they were a bit more popular on his old world, and just about every other one that he had visited thus far. This world was just begging for a Heartless invasion of panicking degrees. What was it going to do, if it happened?
He already knew the answer.
"Not meaning to be offensive, but your world is in for a terrible surprise if their population increases," was that an offensive thing to say? The nobody couldn't tell. But, it was the truth. Rarely did a world only have a couple of Heartless. If the number increased, he could only imagine that it would jump.
A dismissive wave of his hand was provided, as the teen shrugged. "No point in getting your hopes up about the weapon. It's probably fake," Asher mumbled, in a semi-playful tone. "If I find out they're real, I'll come back to tell you about them. How about that?" Fair enough, despite more than likely being a lie. After all, chances are, if he saw one of the weapons, it would be hurting him. Weren't the wielders supposed to be tough?
"A café?" the nobody smiled, with a tilt of his head. "It works for me. Any dry place is a place I'd enjoy to be right now."

"Y-yeah... Uh, I mean... yeah..."she answered, and her cheeks turned bright pink again. She couldn't help it. What was so wrong with having faced the Heartless only three times? That... that was a good thing, no? It was preferable than having to face hordes of them. She couldn't see the problem, there.
Until, he mentioned the possibility of an invasion. The blush faded completely, and Ciela's face turned white with horror. She hadn't considered that. If a large amount of Heartless attacked the world... then... she could only wonder what would become of all the people there. True, Ciela had the Keyblade, but who said that she'd be able to get rid of a whole swarm?
"... I hadn't thought about that..."she mumbled, blankly, tugging at her bangs lightly. Her good eye , the left one, teared up lightly, but she made sure to wipe it away before it rolled down her cheek. Ciela had to look away, embarrassed, in hopes that Asher wouldn't notice it. Crying was embarrassing. Crying in front of a stranger was even more embarrassing.
The whole thing with the weapon, though... that whole business still struck her mind hard, and she couldn't stop thinking about it. "Tell me now,"she insisted. There was no need, but... well, she wanted to know more about it. The little research she had done about the Keyblade hadn't told her anything she didn't already know, and information was scarce... at least in all the books she had consulted, which... had been a lot.
"Let's go, then! We could buy a milkshake~"though, that would be counterproductive, she thought, as she started walking toward the place. What was the point of getting a cold drink when it was rainy?
[OOC: XD she's weiiiiiird~]
